Dear Averie and Declan,

Croup! Averie you have now had croup 5 times. I knew on Thursday night that you were getting sick, Averie and sure enough Friday morning Daddy and I could hear that you had croup when you coughed. Luckily you had your 4 year old well check up appointment that day and the doctor confirmed that you had croup but was able to prescribe some medicine. You had a low fever so we spent the day at home watching Caillou. You really didn't feel well took a nap and went to bed early. You woke up around 9 not being able to breath and coughing. Daddy and I took you outside because the cold air helps the swelling. You got better and then were able to go back to sleep. You still didn't feel well the rest of the weekend so we mostly stayed home and vegged out. However, you get really cranky the more TV you watch :). Monday you woke up feeling better but we stayed home from ballet just to make sure. I sure hate it when you are sick but you have such good attitude about it.
Declan you were such a joy this weekend. You have to be one of the easiest babies. You just go with the flow and are just happy to be with your family. You are so content sitting and playing with your toys. You have rolled over a few times but you are much happier to just sit or lay on your back but this weekend you would roll over to get a toy and then just roll back onto your back...HOWEVER, you wouldn't do it when I was in the room, just Averie and Daddy. As soon as I walked in you would stop. This weekend you also started dancing :). When music is on you will rock your body. It has to be one of the cutest things.
This weekend was not the weekend we planned but I am happy just to spend it with you two and Daddy.

Dear Averie and Declan,
Today was a fun filled day because Averie it was your very FIRST field trip for school! We met your class at the pumpkin patch at The Farm. It was rainy and a cold day but we got to go in a hay maze, see farm animals, ride a hay ride and pick out a pumpkin. Averie you were excited but a bit shy and I don't think you were feeling 100% but you still had a good time. I was amazed with how grown up you were today. You are such a little lady. Declan you did so good too. You just rode a long in the front pack and were as happy as could be. To finish off the morning we had hot chocolate in the car while we ate lunch. I love being able to spend these moments with the two of you.
Tonight I had my annual pumpkin party at our house. Twenty of my friends came bringing their favorite pumpkin or apple recipes. I made a pumpkin apple soup (that was disgusting), pumpkin blondies, pumpkin enchiladas, and an apple crisp pizza (which was really good). Averie I thought that you would have a hard time going to sleep with all the  noise but you fell right to sleep at 6:30, which is really early. I have a feeling that you are getting sick.
